Kid's Kingdom Update - February 2009

Proverbs 22:6 Train a child in the way he should go and when he is old he will not turn from it.

We are thankful for our current teachers Joe L., Erin S., Becky L. and Alicia D. We will be beginning a new teaching rotation on March 1 that runs through May 31. Letters of service were handed out today for potential teachers and teachers subs for this new rotation. We have determined if everyone in the body serves a rotation then each person will only have to serve once and sub once every 12 to 18 months. If you are unable to serve the rotation that you are scheduled for please let us know what rotation you are available. The training for the new rotation will be February 15th after service more details will be announced next week. It is important to attend the training to review information necessary for teaching the classes.

The Kids have been studying out the birth of Jesus in the past few months and also are learning about having the hearts to serve. We are currently looking for videos/books that would be appropriate to share with the children about service. We are also accepting donations of magazines to help with the many collages we do as craft projects in Kids Kingdom.
If you have either of these items please follow-up with Pat T. Thanks.

Reminder to parents – it’s that time of the year again when many little people are sick.
The guidelines for Kids Kingdom ministry is: Please do not bring children who have a runny nose (needing to have nose wiped consistently) who have had a fever in the past 24 hours, an unidentified or potentially contagious rash on his/her body, or who is coughing. Thank you so much for complying with these guidelines that help keep our children a little healthier.

Remember that beginning this week we will begin to take a collection in Kids Kingdom that will be given to DeVos Children’s Hospital to help purchase items for hospitalized children and their families off of the DeVos Wish List.

We will soon be receiving more details and begin our backpack service project soon. Sincerely,

James M. & Pat T.
